What are Concerns?

1. Flagging of Concerns

When completing a DSE (Display Screen Equipment) template, any response marked as the question’s "Negative" option will automatically be flagged as a concern.

2. Viewing Concerns in a DSE Assessment

Concerns are summarised within the DSE Assessment Summary. If you are unsure how to locate a DSE Assessment, refer to the help guide titled “How do I find a DSE Account?”. After locating the assessment, concerns will be displayed in a table format for easy review.

3. Identified Concerns Panel

On the DSE Assessment Summary page, all flagged concerns are listed under the section titled Identified Concerns. You can control the display of specific concerns by toggling the associated checkboxes, which will hide or show the corresponding panel.

4. Managing Individual Concerns

Each concern is shown in its respective panel, and you have the option to add a comment for additional context. To manage a concern, click the Options button located on the right-hand side:

  • Remove Concern: Select this if the issue has been resolved.

  • Escalate to Ongoing Concern: Use this option if the concern requires further attention or monitoring.

5. Ongoing and Removed Concerns

Concerns that have been escalated or removed are also viewable in their respective panels. These panels provide the following details:

  • The original question and response that triggered the concern.

  • The name of the user who took action (removed or escalated the concern).

  • The date of the action.

  • The reason for the escalation or removal.

For each Ongoing Concern or Removed Concern, the Options button allows for further actions:

  • Restore: Reverts the item back to a standard concern.

  • Remove: Moves an ongoing concern to the Removed Concerns panel if it has been resolved.
