User Management: DSE Account Administration Guide

As an account administrator, you have the ability to create, edit, disable, and search for DSE user accounts.

Accessing the User Management Page

If you're unsure how to navigate to the User Management administration page, please refer to the guide: "How do I find a DSE Account?"

Creating a New DSE User Account

To create a new user, follow these steps:

  1. Click “Create New User”.
    • If the user will have responsibilities beyond DSE, refer to the guide: "How do I change user permissions?"

  2. Fill in Personal Information Details:
    • Ensure the “DSE User” checkbox is selected.

    • If the user's role in AssessNet is solely as a DSE user, leave the “Access Level” dropdown set to “Normal.”

  3. Set the User's Location:
    • After entering the user’s details, the "User Access Page" will open.

    • Scroll to the “Default Location” section and select the appropriate tier structure from the dropdown.

    • Click “Set Location” followed by “Next” to continue.

Configuring DSE Access

  1. Send DSE Portal Invitation:
    • To invite the user to access their DSE portal and complete an assessment, click the “Send Email” button.

    • AssessNet will automatically send reminders for future assessments based on a 12-month interval by default. To disable this for a specific user, select the “Turn off auto email for this user” checkbox.

Managing Templates for DSE Users

If your organisation uses multiple templates, you can assign or remove templates for users:

  1. Assigning Templates:
    • Click on the “Allocated Templates” button to view all templates the user currently does not have access to.

    • To assign a template, click the green button next to the desired template. The assigned template will now appear in the “Allocated DSE Templates” panel.

    • Don't have a template? You can create one by following this guide.
