How do I use Structure Roles?

Structure roles allow you to assign specific people in selective structure locations, this is the primary means of managing notification distribution.


Steps to Add a Structure Role: 

  1. Navigate to the Structure Roles Administration Page.
    The naming of pages may be slightly different depending on system configuration.
    1. Navigate to Administration from the left sidebar
    2. Click General Admin
    3. Click Structure Roles

  2. What is on the page?
    The page contains the 6 possible 'levels' of structure and all roles within each level. Each role must be in a specific level, and then all locations for that level have that role available for users.


  3. Creating a Structure Role
    1. To create a structure role, click "Add New Option" in the top-right of the page.
    2. A popup will appear, here you will assign a name and the structure level it sits within

Steps to Assign a user Structure Roles:

  1. Navigate to the Structure Manager Page.
    The naming of pages may be slightly different depending on system configuration.
    1. Navigate to Administration on the left sidebar
    2. Click General Admin
    3. Select the first button, in the top left. it might be called "Groups, Sectors, Departments, Sub-Departments"

  2. Adding a user to a structure role.
    1. Navigate to the desired structure location you want, for deeper levels you will need to expand locations.
    2. Click the cogwheel next to the location
    3. Click "edit roles".
    4. Select the desired structure role title bar to expand it out.
    5. Select a user and click assign.
