Council Fined for Multiple Serious Safety Failures on Guided Busway

Cambridgeshire County Council has been fined £6 million for health and safety breaches on the world’s longest guided busway, which resulted in three fatalities and multiple injuries. The busway opened in 2011, but it was not until 2016, after one death and several serious injuries that the first risk assessment was undertaken.
